I'm so glad we chose Lindsay as our Doula! After a long labor (26 hours!) with my first son I knew I wanted to try something else with my second and hopefully un-medicated birth. My husband and I had recently moved back to the Charlotte area and a top priority was to find a doula we were both comfortable with and someone we could really relate to. My husband is in the military and really not into the whole "hippy dippy" sort of stuff but I knew we needed a doula to help not only me, but also him get through a natural birth and man was Lindsay AMAZING! Leading up to the birth we met with her a couple of times and she never pressured anything on us and really helped guide us in making our own choices. She continually checked in on me and even helped me with ideas on how to get the baby to move down.
I ended up having to be induced at 40 weeks and 3 days and Lindsay was at the hospital long before anything even happened to help me feel relaxed and comfortable. I was totally discouraged that I had to be induced and didn't think there was anyway I'd be able to do it naturally with an induction (hello painful Pitocin contractions). But with Lindsay there helping in on the discussions with my doctor and the nurses we were able to get me off Pitocin within 45 minutes and labor was started!! I was so fearful that labor would slow down and I'd have to get back on Pitocin so Lindsay kept me moving the whole time with creative moves and great ideas to get through each contraction "wave". Lindsay and my husband really became my birthing team and she helped my husband feel so comfortable by showing him ways to help me instead of just "holding my hand". From making the room feel peaceful with twinkle lights, to holding my leg as I pushed, Lindsay was there every step.
I truly KNOW I could not have done it without her. Once we were home and settled she even checked in on us several times and I knew I could lean on her with any postpartum care.

Lindsay is absolutely incredible. She was inspiring and empowering even when I felt my most vulnerable. I was pregnant with my first child and I was considered a high risk pregnancy. I was nervous and afraid of the birthing process. Lindsay was a positive light of hope and encouragement every step of the way, even on my worst days. All my doctors told me my baby was too large to birth naturally and they all recommended a C-Section. I will never forget what Lindsay said when the nurse announced it was time to push. With a huge smile she whispered, “Let’s go, your body was made to do this!” And, I did it! I highly recommend Lindsay, she is knowledgeable, supportive and a fantastic doula. She is a part of our family now and we will absolutely be utilizing her services for all of our future children.

I’m so glad I hired Lindsay as my remote doula. I wasn’t sure if I needed a doula and she provided exactly the support I needed! It was so nice my husband and I could reach out to her with updates and questions any time (but especially during labor!). Going over my birth plan was such a good exercise - there were so many things I hadn’t considered or thought about. I’m glad she showed me my options and helped me put together a plan I felt good about. She also provided me with coaching and ideas on positions to help during labor. I kept reminding myself of Lindsay’s advice to keep the baby moving and was able to have an unmedicated birth (which is what I wanted, even though I was afraid). I just didn’t know if I could do it - Lindsay helped me see I could do it and gave me tips to help me have the birth experience I wanted! I highly recommend Lindsay’s services to anyone looking for a doula (remote or in person)!
